Looking towards site of proposed Waverley station
With Orgreave to the right and Waverley to the left.
A feasibility study is to be prepared as part of the 2020 scheme to consider restoration of some lines and stations cut in the Beeching era. Literally, watch this space.
Currently hourly trains run through here between Sheffield and Lincoln

Housing and Business Park Development at Orgreave
Pictured from the southern edge of the grid square this picture shows regeneration on the site of the defunct Orgreave Coking Works. The Waverley Development as it is to be known will include 4000 new homes and an Advanced Manufacturing Park.

Footbridge over railway at Handsworth
Located about halfway between Woodhouse and Darnall Stations, serving the footpath from the old Handsworth Colliery to Orgreave (Now B6066 High Field Spring). The Railway marking the boundary between Sheffield and Rotherham. In the distance can be seen the Sheffield Parkway, housing estates of Brinsworth and Canklow Wood.
