View from the Railway Bridge in Wardsend Cemetery
Victorian cemetery with the rare distinction of having a functional railway line running through the site. Some victims of the Sheffield Flood of 1864 are buried here although there have been no internments since the 1970s and the church is demolished.

George Beaumont's gravestone, Wardsend Cemetery
George Beaumont was playing in a Christmas Day football match in 1877. The ball was kicked over the boundary wall and Beaumont vaulted after it. Unfortunately, he had no idea that there was a stone quarry on the other side and he plunged to his untimely death. His footstone has an old football carved upon it.
