Moonshine Reservoir, Moonshine Lane, Longley, Sheffield
Moonshine Reservoir is a covered 'Holding Tank' for water. It appears on the Sheffield Map dated 1902, marked as belonging to Sheffield Corporation Water Works. There are two Towers - one on each corner - which, because of their 'Castle' like appearance, add a little bit of character to the site ... they are probably entrances to the tank as they have doors in them. The Communications mast can be seen to the right of the Tower. Image Image
