Butterthwaite Road, Shiregreen
At this point, the main road continues as Hartley Brook Road, with Butterthwaite Road continuing as a side road (centre). The houses with several narrow windows are very typical of Sheffield council housing of this generation.

Bus on Butterthwaite Road, Shiregreen
One of First South Yorkshire's Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Geminis has a few minutes' rest in Shiregreen before heading off to Herdings on the long cross city 47 route. The 47 does a one way loop around Firth Park and Shiregreen, with the 48 serving the same route in the opposite direction.
