Methodist church, Staveley
The building dates from 1976, the result of the old Wesleyan chapel over the road being demolished in a road widening scheme. (Information from the Bolsover and Staveley circuit website).

Looking north-east, heading away from Chesterfield. The headroom is very low, despite warning signs I guess plenty of people have suffered as a result. There is an alternative route to the left.

Mill Green, Chesterfield Canal
This is where the stretch of canal between Staveley and Chesterfield ends. The canal has been filled in to the north, but plans have been made to continue restoration following completion of the new Staveley by-pass.
