Junction of cycle paths
A route from Pools Brook Country Park is about to join the Trans Pennine Trail which runs across on the slight rise, following a former Great Central Railway track.

I think the football ground is linked to Staveley Miners Welfare FC though their main ground is further up the road. It is viewed from the Trans Pennine Trail which crosses the road on a former railway bridge.
