Missed the bus!
The hourly Hulley's of Baslow Route 170 bus from Chesterfield to Bakewell takes a meandering course through the western outskirts of Chesterfield, here heading west through Old Brampton.

Cottage, Old Brampton
On the 'old road, unclassified, between Curbar and Chesterfield. This runs parallel to the A619 and, though narrow in places, makes an excellent alternative route into Chesterfield as it avoids the 'tourist' traffic on the main road. [Oh dear...this note will probably spoil that....]

The George and Dragon Public House is visible ahead, though the dreaded 'Closed Until Further Notice' placard was set outside the pub car park on the day that I passed by (30th January 2010).
