Old Manor House and adjoining cottage
At Cutthorpe. Probably built round 1625, it was once the residence of the first mayor of Chesterfield.The house was derelict for several years after being struck by lightning in 1943.

The Old Manor House, Cutthorpe
The Old Manor House was one of the first houses to be built in Cutthorpe in 1417 and was later owned by Ralph Clarke, who extended it in 1626. A man by the same name was made first Mayor of Chesterfield under the terms set out in the Charter of 1598, but it's doubtful this was the same man.
