Old Milepost by the A61, Wingerworth
Cast iron post by the A61, in parish of Wingerworth (North East Derbyshire District), Derby Road; near Hunloke Farm, opposite Marlow Court, on grass in front of low brick wall, on West side of road. Haywood iron casting, erected by the Duffield & Sheffield turnpike trust in the 19th century. The church is Grade I listed, with the oldest part dating from the 12th Century. It has had additions at numerous times since, including the extension seen here which was built in 1964.
