The precise location from which Image] no longer exists - the high bank has been removed - and this is the best available. The bus stop still exists, as does the poultry farm which can just be seen on the left, but the Avenue coking plant has completely disappeared.

Wingerworth - Avenue Coking Plant

Avenue Coking Plant and Chesterfield bus
In 1982 both the coking plant and Chesterfield's municipal bus operation were still going strong. The buses ran to several places well outside the town itself. This is on the circular routes serving North Wingfield and Clay Cross. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=2114547&displayclass=slide
