Chesterfield - Queen's Park - gate at southern entrance
This is one of a pair of gates at the southern (Boythorpe Avenue) entrance to the Park. For a close-up of the centre-piece, please see Image Although the original metal railings round the cricket pitch were removed for the war effort in 1943, these gates were retained.

Chesterfield - Queen's Park - civic shield on south gate
The shield is based on Chesterfield borough's ancient common seal, which is believed to date from the first half of the sixteenth century. The seal depicts a stylised pomegranate tree.
