After the June floods
This photograph was taken near the eastern entrance to Queens Park, Chesterfield. Floods the day before had washed these rowing boats out of the boating pool at the west end of the park, all the way to the eastern entrance. Someone has tethered them to the tree to prevent them going any further. 24 hours after the waters subsided and it is remarkable how little damage was done to the begonia beds which had been at least a foot deep in water a day earlier.

Bryan Donkins Remaining Building
The last remaining building of the former "Bryan Donkin (Valves) Ltd" factory. Has now been demolished to make way for a new B&Q Superstore and Bryan Donkin has moved to new premises at Staveley.
