Former Post Office, Market Square, Chesterfield
18th century house which became the Head Post Office in 1886, 3 additional bays being added in the 20th century along with the stone facing of the ground floor, Listed Grade II.
The upper floors have recently (c.2018) been converted from offices to residential apartments, with the ground floor becoming a café bar.

Farewell to Hudsons of Chesterfield
This independent record shop which had been in business for 105 years finally closed its doors in April 2012 - a sad day indeed. The demise of independent record outlets will be explored in an upcoming documentary 'Last Shop Standing' and will feature an interview with Keith Hudson who had ran this store since 1955. The white sign in the window here states 'Christmas Shop - Opening Soon'.

Chesterfield market
Chesterfield market is one of the biggest open-air markets in the country, selling everything from cutlery to carpets, from shirts to shoes, from pans to potatoes. Whatever you want to buy, there’s a stall selling it somewhere – it’s just a matter of finding it among all the stalls packed into the town centre.
