Arm and hammer, Knifesmithgate
The symbol of the Brampton Brewery on what is currently The Victoria but was originally the Kings Head. See http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6888667 for location. The heads of the columns of the colonnade along Knifesmithgate carry a variety of sculpted motifs; the Kings Head was the only building to have stone rather than wood carvings.
