Former Chesterfield RDC offices
Built in 1937, roughly when this picture was taken, the former Chesterfield Rural District Council offices on Saltergate now house the North East Derbyshire District Council offices and has a large new extension to the right. The picture was taken by my late Grandfather, Edward Kington, who was an architect with Houfton and Kington of Chesterfield.

Row of houses at north end of Marsden Street
Ordnance Survey records show a benchmark was levelled at 105.964m above Newlyn Datum in 1961 on the right hand corner of the nearest house (No. 22). This appears to be hidden by the pebbledash cladding.
