Memorial to flood victims, River Don walk

Sheffield Flood Monument
This unexceptional modern monument commemorates one of the most significant peacetime disasters of The Victorian Age, namely The Sheffield Flood which happened in the early hours of March 12th 1864 killing some 293 unfortunate citizens. Surely, they deserve a better memorial than this.
