Edward Street Flats, Solly Street, Sheffield
By W.G. Davies, 1939-43. A large block of flats, D-shaped plan enclosing green space. Some nice features such as the curved ends and the balconies.
Unusual to find such a building being built during the war.

This view shows the same three Tower Blocks as described in …

… but the Supertram is different. This one is Number 112
and is travelling uphill from Malin Bridge Terminus towards
Sheffield City and beyond to the Halfway Terminus.
Halfway being an area of Sheffield … not halfway along the route!

Netherthorpe Road Supertram Stop, Netherthorpe Road, Netherthorpe, Sheffield - 1
This Supertram Stop is situated in the Central Reservation of the busy Netherthorpe Road,
which, as part of the Sheffield Inner Ring Road, is a dual carriageway.
It is accessed, from both sides, by an underpass … which can just be seen on the extreme left.
