It reads, "THE CELEBRATED GLEANER/THE GLEANER SUPER KEEN BLADE MADE IN SHEFFIELD ENGLAND", and there is a reference to a "SMOOTHER SHAVE". The rest is illegible to me.
Perhaps a product of John Watts,Image], on whose wall it has been daubed.

33-43 Lambert Street, Sheffield
A mixture of late-C18th/C19th buildings, now rendered, formerly the cutlery works of John Watts, established in 1765. The name and date are emblazoned across the front together with details of the activities and products made here: "stampers, piercers, metal workers/safety razors, scissors, skates etc". Fairly extensive courtyards and workshops behind. Grade II listed.
Current use not known.
