Old Milepost by the A61, Wood Seats, Ecclesfield Parish
Penistone iron casting by the A61, in parish of Ecclesfield (Sheffield District), in area known as Wood Seats, in narrow verge, near to wall.

Old milepost
In the early 1990s the milepost at Wood Seats on the A61 was removed for roadworks then reset in 1993. In 2007 it was smashed by a vehicle. These pieces were recovered but the rest was too deep set to be dug up and have the post repaired. It was not 'Listed'.
