Potter Hill
This row of cottages at the top of Potter Hill Lane, where it joins Springwood Lane at the intersection with Hague Lane, are not contemporary with most of the surrounding estate. The 20th century estate has sprung up around these much earlier dwellings.

Bus on Westwood New Road, High Green
First South Yorkshire 34246, a Volvo Olympian/Northern Counties Palatine new to Capital Citybus, stands in the layby on Westwood New Road before working a 77A back to Sheffield city centre via Grenoside, watched by a horse and rider. This was one of a large quantity of midlife Olympians transferred from First's London operations to replace older double deckers in South Yorkshire. When this picture was taken, this layby was the terminus for routes 76 and 77/77A, but at the time of submission, there appears no longer to be a bus stop here.

Water Tower, Potter Hill, High Green - 1
From this view - by the entrance gate to the Reservoir and Tower site - the grass bank of the Water Reservoir disguises the height of the Water Tower. The Water Works site - but not the Tower - is shown on the 1905 OS map of the area ... at that date belonging to the Wortley Rural District Council. For a view which shows the full height of the Tower, see ... Image ... See also Image Image Image
