Cockshutts Lane, Oughtibridge
When my current wife*, who was born in Oughtibridge, and I were looking for a house to buy we were interested in one of these very nice houses, but finally decided against it because 'the in-laws' lived just round the corner in Crag View Crescent. *For current wife read 'clip round the ear if she finds out I've entered this.'

W.R.D.C. Workmen's Hut
Wortley Rural District Council workmens hut situated on Crag View Crescent. The WRDC no longer exists and from the looks of it the hut hasn't see much action for a very long time. I wonder if Sheffield City Council, who are now responsible for this area, even know of the huts existence. Follow this link for some more information ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wortley_Rural_District

Crag View Crescent sign - New Style, Oughtibridge
Bright and Clean ... and looking good. The 35 relates to the Postal Area ... Oughtibridge Post Codes start S35 ... they were S6 originally, then S30, but that became too populated so was sub-divided into some smaller sections.

'New Style' Bungalow, Crag View Crescent, Oughtibridge
These 'new style' bungalows are from the 1960's and complement the earlier
1940's style by offering sheltered accommodation for older people.
I'm not sure how they manage to walk up the hill to get to them though!
