Glen Howe Park Entrance
The picture shows the entrance to Glen Howe Park, Wharncliffe Side, Sheffield. This "natural" park was gifted to the City of Sheffield in 1917 by Joseph Dixon and John Mills.

Glen Howe Park
Glen Howe Park was owned by local stone mason John Mills, who used it as a pleasure garden. With the support of Joseph Dixon, owner of the local paper mill, the whole site was given to the people of Wharncliffe Side in 1917.

Glen Howe Tower
Private residence and folly at the entrance to Glen Howe Park. This seldom-visited area has been gradually reclaimed by nature over recent decades but it's well worth a visit - especially to seek out the rebuilt packhorse bridge.
