Sycamore House, Worrall, near Oughtibridge
Sycamore House ... according to my copy of the Countryside Treasure Survey ... is a late Victorian, stone built house with Dutch style gable. The roof has verge stones finished with corbels. What more can I say ... except, as can be seen from this picture it has its own private entrance to the playing field. Image

United Reformed Chapel, Worrall, near Oughtibridge
Built in 1826 with an unusual arched chimney. The Chapel is on the upper floor and is accessed using the steps and the door shown in the picture. I'm not sure what the ground floor is currently used for ... when the building was built it was used as an additional Classroom for the (opposite) School. Image

Cottage, Towngate Road, Worrall
Described in the local 'Countryside Survey' as being built in 1687 and probably the original Farmhouse in the area ... stone built, stone framed casement windows, stone flag roof, gable ends with verge stones finished with corbels.

The 'Old Village School' in Worrall
Closed as a school in 1966 with the pupils transferring to nearby Oughtibridge. Now superbly converted into a private house.

Bungalow, (former Co-op Store), Towngate Road, Worrall
Unusual design but strangely attractive and interesting. Update in 2012 ... I have been contacted by a 'viewer' who grew up in the Worrall area and he tells me that this building was built as the Co-operative Store and was converted to living premises in the 1960s. Looking again at the design, this does look to be the case. I believe that this would have been a branch of the Oughtibridge Co-operative Society.
