Upper Booth Farm
A working farm and campsite on National Trust's estate at the remote head of Edale. The Pennine Way passes nearby and the farm is the first sign of civilisation after descending from the Kinder plateau.

West along the Vale of Edale - Derbyshire
Wide-ranging views on this walk designed to blow away the Christmas holiday cobwebs - certainly true in the latter half of this walk. Looking west along the Vale of Edale towards Crowden Clough, beyond Grindslow Knoll, and Upper Booth. Time taken 12.32 pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).

Farm buildings at Upper Booth
The hamlet is a tightly set complex of farm buildings with a network of twisting tracks. Thankfully the paths and their destinations seem clearly signed.

Upper Booth
The last hamlet in the Noe Valley. This is where the road meets the Pennine Way. The finger post right of shot points the way: straight on to Jacobs Ladder, turn right for Edale. Note, the telephone box is not perpendicular.
