North to Grindslow Knoll and Kinder - Derbyshire
Clear views on this sunny December day over the Vale of Edale to Grindslow Knoll and Kinder Scout, scene of the 1930s Mass Trespass. This was not the beginnings of the outdoor movement, as the Peak and Northern Footpaths Society had been active for some years before that. The photo was taken on a Railway Ramblers walk from Mam Tor to Winnats Pass via Castleton. Time taken 12.31 pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
