Hawkhill Road, Eyam, Derbys.
Colonel Francis ("Frank") Bradshaw, the one time squire of the village, developed a system of lead pipes to lead water down from the hills into a series of stone troughs. In addition, a series of pipes fed water into some of the cottages in the village where spinning took place. A plaque on the wall names these particular troughs as the Hall Hill Troughs after the nearby (now derelict) Bradshaw Hall, behind Eyam Museum (ahead).

Hawkhill Road, Eyam, Derbys.
An interestingly-shaped public toilet block at the entrance to a public car park. Obliquely opposite the telegraph pole is the village's small, stone built museum. A YHA hostel a lies a mile or so - northeast as the crow flies - behind the car park - off Edge Road, a continuation of Hawkhill Road. The main part of the village lies behind the photographer.
