This strange stone object is thought to be a sack holder, to aid the filling of sacks by one person. The sack is placed through the hole in the top and secured by a metal hoop which is in turn secured with a metal bar through the iron lugs.

This building was once a lock up many years ago but now is in someone's private garden. It is an unusual shape; a square building with a round roof. More information at http://www.wishful-thinking.org.uk/genuki/DBY/Curbar/RoundHouse.html
