Roundabout, Beighton, Crystal Peaks
Looking across the roundabout is the reminder of Beighton's mining and industrial past - a statue by David Mayne entitled "Timeworks 1" erected in 2004. Behind me (I'm facing north-ish) is the Beighton Drakehouse Lane tram stop. To my right is the Crystal Peaks shopping centre and to the right, just out of shot is the Gypsy Queen pub.

Road Junction by Ochre Dike
Street scene in Beighton showing Drakehouse Lane at its junction with Sothall Green. The Trans Pennine Trail crosses the road on the left, disappearing into the foliage and following the course of Ochre Dike towards the parish church.

Tram at Drake House Lane
The last part of the new Sheffield tramway to open was the line from Halfway, and free travel was allowed on the first couple of days. Here a packed tram from Halfway has just reached the sharp bend at Drake House Lane.
