Pevsner says it is "pre-1850". It could be Georgian. Formerly Cambridge Works of James Lodge, cutlery and electroplate manufacturers. The usual courtyard survives through the cart entrance. Grade II listed.
Now student accommodation.

Former St Vincent's Presbytery, Solly Street, Sheffield
By M.E. Hadfield & Son, 1878. Lofty red brick, much of it gauged. Grade II listed.
Now Provincial House, providing serviced offices.
The road was being re-surfaced. A ratio of one man working to two watching applied.
