Sellers Wheel, Arundel Street, Sheffield
Former silversmith workshops including the customary rear courtyard. Pevsner suggests a date of 1855, although the proportions are Georgian-ish. Pilastered cart entrance on the right. Round the corner is less refined. Grade II listed. A banner proclaims the building's new status as student accommodation.

Butcher's Wheel, Arundel Street, Sheffield
"One of the city's finest remaining integrated cutlery, edge tool and file-making works and powerfully evocative of the working conditions once prevalent in the cutlery industry", wrote Pevsner. The tall block dates from the 1850s, but there is an older block behind of 1819-20. It presents quite a contrast with its mostly small-scale cottage-industry-style neighbours. Courtyard and chimney survive behind (Image]). Grade II* listed. Now a mix of retail and residential.

Like Charles Darwin on Sidney Street http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3243076 , this well-known TV presenter is subtly styled as an environmental campaigner. The mural is to be found on Charles Street.
