Sheffield: Jew Lane
A narrow alleyway providing rear access behind Fitzalan Square and Commercial Street. We look towards Fitzalan Square here; just behind us is the right-angled turn onto Commercial Street.
There is no sign announcing the name Jew Lane but it is confirmed as such on online mapping and also my old Sheffield A-Z.

Fitzalan Square, Sheffield
Named after the 10th Earl of Norfolk,the square was created in 1881 and had a substantial cab stand with clock also the Electra Palace cinema opened in 1911 then became the Classic in 1962 continuing until 1982

Plenty to read!
The Park Square gyratory system viewed from the tram bridge. Comparison with the aerial photo on WheresThePath and Google Earth (the same photo) shows that the Bus-Taxi-cycle lane is a recent innovation.
