Monument to Heather Slate, Sheffield General Cemetery
Heather Slate was not a person but a rock, laid down 545 million years ago in Bethesda, North Wales, and extensively quarried in modern times for roofing slates and other purposes.

Mark Firth's grave, Sheffield General Cemetery
Mark Firth lived between 1819 and 1880. He was an industrial magnate and later became an important philanthropist whose name is remembered in the district of Sheffield called Firth Park and in the name of one of Sheffield's top steel manufacturers - Firth Brown. His grave has Grade II listed status.
