Aviva's call centre in Pomona Street
The older part of the building was formerly James Chesterman's Bow Works, renovated and extended for Norwich Union about 1993. Chesterman invented the spring loaded tape measure and his firm specialised in precision steel instruments.

Porter Brook
Looking downstream from the Pear Street bridge, and towards the city centre. The whole area is being redeveloped. I understand that Ward's Brewery was once here, but much of the new building is student accommodation.

The former factory is listed grade II (list entry 1271058) where it is described as 'Measuring tool works, now offices. 1865-68 and 1903, with some later alterations. For J Chesterman & Co.' It is now occupied by the insurance company Aviva. See also Image
