Entrance Gates to Crimicar Lane Isolation Hospital
Infectious diseases such as tuberculosis were treated at this now demolished hospital, which a century ago would have been situated well away from Sheffield's main conurbation. A brass plaque attached to the central gatepost states that the hospital operated between 1901 and 1956.

Former Gates of Crimicar Lane Isolation Hospital, Crimicar Lane, Sheffield
These gates are now all that remain of the former Crimicar Lane Isolation Hospital - opened in 1901, closed in 1956 - and as they are 'listed' should remain for posterity. See also ... Image
