Tilbury's Old Police Station
This was rendered redundant by the new concrete monstrosity on Civic Square [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/936397] built, I think, in the 70s. The two small windows at the extreme right just above the parked red van show where the cells were located and are still heavily barred. The building is now a local government office.

The Tilbury Band headquarters
Having its foundations in a brass band started in 1919 not by dockers, but by railwaymen, the band now has a broader membership. This building in Dock Road was purpose built in 1976.

One of the Fenchurch Street - Shoeburyness shuttles over the bank holiday weekend. Heading in the down direction, about to pass under the original Hairpin Bridge. It is slowing for the North Curve where it will pass the site of the locomotive depot where it was allocated for its early years of existence - 33B, Tilbury.

This is conveniently situated between the Roman Catholic church and school. The brickwork of the older block matches that of the church.
