Autumn in Grays George
This is Grays Lake in Grays Chalk Pit now erroneously restyled as Grays George. The site gained SSSI status due to it being chalk grassland supporting rare plants and invertebrates. Over the years the site has become secondary woodland. Essex Wildlife Trust http://www.essexwt.org.uk/reserves/chafford-gorges who own the site are currently in the process of removing 50% of the trees as part of a process to restore the former habitat.
