Civic Hall & Blackshots Leisure Centre
About 3 years ago the greenish blocks on the left of the frame were installed as a noise abatement measure. Up until then there had been large windows. These gave the inside of the main hall a light and airy feel. Then one individual who had no understanding of the meaning of caveat emptor bought a property near the well established (over 50 years) music venue. She complained continuously to the council about loud music (n.b the music licence forbade music after 23:00hrs). Now the civic hall is dark and dingy even when you don't want it to be.
