View over Aveley Marshes
The near part is the rather inaccurately named Rainham Marshes RSPB reserve, very popular with birdwatchers on a very spring-like March day. The inclined viaduct in the distance is where the Channel Tunnel Rail Link switches sides with the London, Tilbury and Southend line.

Roundabout on the A1306 London Road
This roundabout is on the road,(from Purfleet) towards Rainham.
This roundabout links the road to the A13 (dual carriageway) that passes under the A1306.
The bridge over the A1306 is just behind the roundabout (with the lorries!).

Channel Tunnel Rail Link at Rainham Marshes RSPB Reserve
Taken from one of the boardwalks on Rainham Marshes RSPB Reserve (actually on Aveley Marshes), the CTRL is on a viaduct here to take it over the C2C line between Rainham and Purfleet.

Broadwalk, Pylons, Rail & Road
From the broadwalk can be seen pylons, the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and in the background the A13 road, all of which show how close the nature reserve is to the busy industrial Thames corridor.
