St Silvan's church
This was A small church in the woods. The dedication, however, is nothing to do with "sylvan" meaning "woody", it is a contraction of St Silvanus. It is difficult to get a wider shot of it as it is surrounded by trees.
History: it was originally constructed as a Mission Room as a result of a legacy from Samuel Charlesworth, Rector of Limpsfield from 1857-70. It was dedicated as a church in 1930. Part of the church was converted to living accommodation for the priest in 1976. It finally closed as a place of public worship in August 2013.
