Crowhurst Brickworks - chimney
The old brickworks site still retains its chimney, which is square.

Entrance to Lingfield Works
Formerly Crowhurst Brickworks, which closed on the 1970s for brick making. In its later years, or perhaps afterwards, the site seems to have been retitled Lingfield Works. There is not the faintest trace of any company name, or anything, above the line on the sign. The creepy-crawly barrier is likely to have been installed as a prelude to redevelopment of the site for housing.

Empty house at former Crowhurst Brickworks
If maps have it right, this was built around 1960. Here it is caught up in the redevelopment of the brickworks site. The works closed in the 1970s, although its pits were used for fishing and landfill later.
