View over Capel towards Leith Hill
The sign on the finger post is headed "Young wildlife in grass", and advises people to keep to the footpaths. The fields around here seem to be managed as a grassland nature reserve.

Bay Cottage, Capel
At 164 The Street, a late C17 tile-hung cottage with end chimneys (which are far from vertical). The area at the front has been paved for use by the adjacent surgery (but is registered common land, part of the roadside wastes of Capel). The shrub in a pot appears to say: "don't park in front of my front gate" (well, would you want the white line extended in front of a house like that?).
