Newlands Cottage and Rose Hill Arch
Cottage and archway attached to Rose Hill House, the cottage presumably being named after William Newland whose purchase of 16 acres behind Rose Hill House in 1831 led to the upmarket development of Rose Hill over the following 30 years.

Arched entrance to Victorian Housing Estate, Dorking
Between 1838 and 1869 a collection of large Italianate and Tudor style villas was built around a paddock in the grounds of Rose Hill house and the brick arch was built as an entranceway.
