Dorking West Station
Opened in 1849, Wikipedia says "The staggered platforms are typical of stations built for the SER (South Eastern Railway) where no footbridge was provided. The arrangement of the platforms enabled passengers to cross behind trains if two were at the station simultaneously." While waiting for the train here I watched what to me looked like quite good cars being smashed up by the yellow smasher upper in the adjacent scrapyard.
