Ride through High Ridge Wood
In October 2013 there was much evidence of recent work - scrub clearance - to re-establish an overgrown ride. A well-worn - but narrow - path can be seen on the right.

Fungi on a conifer stump
Quite small (the cap perhaps 5 or 6cm in diameter) and brightly coloured. The overall form is reminiscent of chanterelle, and I suspect this is Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca - the false chanterelle.
