The Roman Catholic Church for Reigate situated in Yorke Road, consecrated in 1938. The building on the left is the Presbytery. Since this photo was taken, the presbytery has been demolished, to be replaced by a new Parish Centre.

Petrus Archiepiscopus episcopus Southwarcensis lapidem hujus ecclesiae primarium solemniter benedixit ac posuit. which my attempt at translating gives: To God, the best and greatest In honor of God and the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph in the year of the incarnation of the Lord 1938 and in the 17th year of the Pontificate of Pius 11 by the Reverend Archbishop Peter, Bishop of Southwark. On 31 March 1938 the Reverend Archbishop Peter, Bishop of Southwark, placed and blessed the foundation stone of this church.

Site of Penn Cottage
Penn Cottage (see Image for a photo from 2008) had stood unused for many years with a number of proposals for the development of the site for housing having been considered. These are now coming into fruition, with demolition having taken place in this photo.
