Warrenne Way
Originally Reigate Parish School, Warrenne Way was developed in 1995 after the school moved to a new site in Blackborough Road (see Image). Part was a redevelopment of the old buildings (which are grade II listed), the remainder new build in a sympathetic style (in the background and on the right). The development was named after William de Warrenne, who built Reigate Castle (the mound of which is just to the east of this site, on the other side of London Road) in 1088. The building on the left of the photo was originally the headmaster's house, before forming part of the school. It dates from 1854, by Henry Clutton.
