Knights
One of Reigate's longest established businesses. In 1883 James Knight took over a draper's business from a Mr Elger, operating out of 10 Bell Street (the section of the building on the left). In around 1911 the shop was extended to include the former Grapes Hotel (the larger section on the right). Through to 2006, it operated as draper/haberdashers, to some extent quaint and old fashioned, but with a huge stock range. In 2006, it was taken over by Tudor Williams, who have retained the old name. The building itself dates from the 18th century and is grade II listed - for listing particulars see www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1029136.
