Drive to Green Common
Linking the 17th century former farmhouse of that name with The Pike, the A283. The building would have originally been built on the boundary of the former Washington Common which was enclosed in 1851, the drive created after the route of the turnpike was fixed and a gap created between it and the building.

Drive to Walnut Tree Cottage
The building was originally built on the boundary of Washington Common which was enclosed in 1851 thus creating a gap between the newly fixed route of The Pike and the dwelling which necessitated linking. The cottage lies in the trees at the end of the drive.
