Ledbitters Barn Field/Rock Field
The name of the fields according to Washington's 1839 tithe map which have been joined together to form a larger unit. Ledbitters Barn Field was in the foreground though not named after the current building to the left which is a fairly new structure. Rock Field was further to the south near Rock Common, part of which was located where the wooded area is at the bottom of the field. The rest of Rock Common is currently being quarried for sand.

Footpath, Rock Common
When I last walked this route in autumn 2008 the footpath to Upper Chancton Farm ran through the Rock Common Quarry works. However, continual quarrying has resulted in a diversion through the wooded area of Rock Common to the west of the quarry.
