Harmondsworth, Penguin, 1965 this edn 1977 ISBN 0140710280) tells us that this church was built in 1858 to a design by GR Habershon http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-495580-church-of-st-augustine-of-canterbury-lin and is built of red brick. The thin west tower has a pyramid roof and there are tall south facing dormer windows, those in the chancel being smaller.
